ABOUT Savage Geckos
Savage Geckos was founded in 2004. We chose the name Savage
Geckos to fit the attitude of the original store – a competitive
but friendly jungle! The first Savage Geckos store opened to great
acclaim in 2005.
Since then, the concept has grown to include the broad
research necessary to understand and serve the university/college market,
in particular college unions. We work extensively with the Association of
College Unions International (ACUI) in this market.
In
2006, a new Savage Geckos opened in the new $40 million Student Center on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. In their growing collegiate
work, Savage Geckos and our sister installation firm Steel Surf Studio use their own retail designers, but always
include the input of students to create unique campus spaces. Steel Surf
now has university projects across North America.
